The flexibility of the progression qualification allows for learner achievements to be recognised through specifically designed courses that meet the needs of individual target groups. Centres are able to use the units to create qualifications that provide learners with the underpinning skills and knowledge that will enable them to choose the most appropriate progression routes for their particular needs. Pre-vocational and pre-apprenticeship programmes can be tailored to the interests of the learner.
