Step-UP
NOCN Skills Towards Enabling Progression (Step-UP) Qualifications meet the needs of learners working below Level 2 - Foundation Learning - and from the age of 14.
Providers can use the many PSD and vocational taster units to design individualised learning programmes tailored to a learner's needs.
The Step Up Qualification Guide describes how to design a course that meets the rules of combination for this qualification.
New for 2012
There has been a significant expansion in the range of units available in the NOCN Step-UP qualifications.
NOCN has expanded the qualifications to include units in an increased range of vocational sectors, including:
- Animal care
- Engineering
- Bicycle maintenance
- Motorcycle maintenance
Alongside this expansion, additional units have been added in the following areas:
- Childcare
- Motor vehicle maintenance
- Construction
- Retail
- Hair and beauty
- Catering and hospitality
- Sport and fitness
All the changes have been undertaken in consultation with the relevant Sector Skills Councils.
