Leading Learning

The main aim of this qualification is to develop leadership skills in those who will undertake a Learning Leader role within a school or other setting, for example the workplace or community project, a custodial setting or FE college.

Endorsed routes:

NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Leading Learning (Literacy)
NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Leading Learning (mathematics)
NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Leading Learning (ICT)
NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Leading Learning (Science)

The qualification supports learners' progression to further learning and/or employment by raising aspirations for themselves and others when acting as learning champions in a Learning Leader role. The qualification also supports the development of a wide range of skills relevant to employment that allow learners to make informed career and progression choices, building self-esteem and confidence.

Learners will also acquire an understanding of learning and skills development for their chosen subject area including key milestones, the use of appropriate teaching and learning activities and factors that affect development.
